For process capability studies: a measure of difference between the process mean and the specification mean (nominal).

Kurtosis

A measure of the flatness of a curve. Used to describe curves that are symmetrical, but not normal. If the distribution has longer tails than a normal distribution of the same standard deviation, then it is said to have positive kurtosis (platykurtosis); if it has shorter tails, then it has negative kurtosis (leptokurtosis).
